"Current Scenario Of Indian Political System"

•As per the definition, "A political system is a complete set of institutions, interest groups (such as political parties, trade unions, lobby groups), the relationships between those institutions and the political norms and rules that govern their functions (constitution, election law)."

•Let's also understand what do we mean by 'democracy' so that we can understand the whole thing clearly with respect to India. As per wikipedia "Democracy is a form of government in which the people have the authority to choose their governing legislation."

•Now, Let's take a look at the current scenario of the Indian political system. So, Basically there are two parties i,e. The BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) and The Congress, almost most of the people know about and talk about.

•On the one side, The BJP has become the largest political party in the world and, On the other side, the Congress has been shrinking to it's all time lowest. But, what does it mean? Should we feel good that the current ruling party is the world's largest political party? The answer could be mix of both 'yes' and 'no'.

•But, logically if we wish to drive into getting the right answer for it then, we'll have to be unbiased at first and have to think practically and put things clearly.

•Before proceeding further, I want to make it clear to all that, I am not a politics expert and, whatever I am to pen down here, it would be my personal opinion and I'll be sharing stuffs as per my personal experiences.

•What I believe that, A country can develop when, it is ruled by a party which has the largest power i,e. majority both in the upper (Rajya sabha) & the lower (Lok sabha) houses. So that, it would face no difficulties in framing it's policies and also in its implementation.

•But, when a country is ruled by a party which happens to have majority in either of the houses but not in both then, it often happens that, it fails to pass it's policies and those policies no matter it was meant for the betterment of the people or economy, it goes in the pipeline.

•One may ask a question here, if a policy framed, is for the welfare of the people so, why any opposition will oppose it? And, exactly this is what the main issue with the opposition party of our country. Here, the opposition is not the opposition. The opposition party of our country literally doesn't know what does it mean to be in the opposition.

•I feel, it only thinks of the word 'opposition' mean to 'oppose everything' what the ruling party brings even, if it would do good to the people. And, that is something I don't like about the opposition party of our country.

For example, the opposition opposed “CAA” (citizenship amendment act). If we go deep down in history then, we will find that how this act was the necessary step for the people who were staying as refugees for a long time without any identity and who had been harassed in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

·       It also opposed the abrogation of article 370 & 35(A), which were the biggest reason for the underdevelopment of  Jammu & Kashmir and the city had also become the hub of terror related activities.

•The opposition also opposes for the “NPR” (National Population Register) to be implemented and literally, I just don't understand what's wrong with the opposition of our country. What is really wrong when a country has its own population register? Many countries have it. And, How come it affects anyone's life? There I find no logic in opposition's logic of opposing such necessary stuffs.

•Then it also opposed at the time of  "Triple Talaaq" bill.

•It also seems in a mood to object much needed steps like 'One Nation One Election' , Uniform Civil Code etc. And, when they are asked about the reason behind their objections, they end up with the vague theories which you can't find a proper conclusion in.

•The recent example is the "New Education Policy" where most of the people, researchers, education specialists within the nation and even outside the nation praising the government for such steps, On the other hand, the opposition party of our country is opposing it while saying that, it will create nothing but loopholes in the Indian education system. And, when they are asked how? Then again, they are mum.

•What I feel, By doing so, they just strengthen the ruling party much more than before, when they oppose such necessary steps taken for the betterment of our country and, put themselves in a doubtable scene. Because people are very much aware now and they can easily differentiate between what's wrong and right, who thinks for their favour and who are against it.

•If the opposition party would have supported these policies of the government then they could have got a little corner for themselves too in the hearts of the people and, the people would have understood that 'yes the opposition too has supported such steps taken by the government and, it does reflect, they too are standing for the right stuffs and, when it comes to for the betterment of the nation, both the opposition and the ruling party are united. Having admitted such role played by the opposition party, we might have thought of giving another chance to them in near future.' In a nutshell, By doing so, the opposition would have been gathering some kinds of respect and trust in their favour.

•What I feel, A country also develops when the opposition party in a country is also powerful so that, it can come up with different ideas and strategies and can put forward their ideas and various strategies to confront the ongoing problems in the country in front of the ruling party and also before the common people of the country.

•If the government in centre is not doing its job properly then, the opposition should be powerful enough that, it can influence the ruling government and compel it to work properly. If the opposition has come up with the ideas that are meant for the welfare of the people and might be helpful in dealing with the ongoing problems then, the central government has to listen to the opposition otherwise, they might lose their support in near future.

•So, if we sum up here, we can make out that, A country can develop either when, it has got a powerful ruling party or A powerful opposition. But, looking at the current scenario, it is very difficult to say that, we are seeing the opposition in a real opposition role in near future.

•It seems, the opposition party of our country has just completely lost its track. It sounds very confused and unclear with its stand on various national and international issues. Lack of quality leaders create lots of doubts in people's mind wheather to keep faith in.

•It now even struggles to keep their own party members intact within the party itself. With no long term goals and lack of leadership have brought the party at this level from where, it is very difficult to say, we may admit any big change further.

•So, what's the conclusion? Well, I would like to end up with saying that, if we are ever asked to choose between:

a) The Fair

b) The Poor

So, we will end up choosing Fair. No doubt in that. We will think in that situation, if we support fair and show faith in, there are chances that, it might get converted into 'Good' and further 'Excellent' and, opposite can also be true. (Nothing is certain in this world)

•But, if we choose poor and take risk, there are also chances that it might get converted into fair then good and so on.. and worst is also possible. But, this process would be time consuming and, in a fastest growing world we wouldn't like to wait to get our things done and, especially we can't completely rely upon something which involves probability.

•I can make out, for some I may sound biased here, but trust me it's not true at all. I wish, we could witness a strong opposition party in our country so that, it would create a healthy political environment in the country and the people of the country would be reaping benefit out of it. But, when I can't find potential in the opposition, I won't be able to trust them and caste my vote in favour.

•And, we will be able to understand it better when, we put ourselves in a position of an 'Entrepreneur' and ask ourselves whom we can trust on at first? The answer would be "ourselves". The reason being, we can't cheat on our own business and can't compromise on  it on any condition and similarly, we would like to have such team members in our company whom we find, they will also give their 100%  into the working management so that, we together can make it to a huge success.

•We would choose only whom we find potential in, who can help run our company efficiently. Even we take risk, we only will choose whom we feel he/she has got potential to grow further. We will never choose anyone blindly. And, when for our small businesses, we take care of such stuffs, so, how we can let anyone run our country or expect protection from someone whom we ourselves can't find potential in. We can’t take risk when we know that we are surrounded by countries like China & Pakistan who wishes to weaken our country on any condition (recent happenings are the example). We need to have a strong leadership in centre as far as both social and economical protection are concerned.
